About

ABOUT

Amber Valois is a Florida-based freelance artist as well as a theatrical director and playwright. Growing up in a family full of performers, she always thought she would be a performer too. However, she never fully pursued performing and found from an early age she was more interested in behind-the-scenes than being on stage. She never thought she would find herself in the theater either.

Originally attending Valencia College as a film major, after one inspiring stagecraft class with Professor Greg Loftus, she decided to switch her degree from film to theater and never looked back. Instead, she immersed herself in the world of theater and art. She graduated from Valencia College with an Associate’s in Entertainment Design and Technology with a specialization in Production Design, as well as an Associates in Theater / Dramatical Arts.

Today, she does freelance work while working as a photographer at a local dinner theater. When she directs short plays in the greater Orlando area, she utilizes her her design skills to create props and other scenic elements for the productions.
